Privacy and policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Statement applies to Enerquip AS (hereinafter referred to as “we”) and explains how your privacy is handled by us.

Our basis for processing personal data will vary, will consist of your consent or because it is required by law. 

2. About personal data, consent and cookies
Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be your name, address, phone number, email address, and IP address.

Optional information sharing

We only store certain information if you give us active consent to collect it. If we use such services, we ask you for consent to this on our website, and we only collect the information if you give us consent. If you do not consider the question, we will not collect the information. This applies, for example, to information from a contact form that you choose to fill in.

3. Sharing information

In some cases, we share personal data with other companies that perform services on our behalf. This is primarily to give you a safer and better experience. Here are the key examples:           

a) We share information with the following third parties

  • Google Analytics
    • Information about usage patterns on the website (including which pages have been visited and when) is shared with Google that is linked to you as a user in a partially anonymised way. We will not be able to link this to you personally, but we may use the information to see general usage patterns on our website and to be able to send you tailored advertising.
  • Contact forms
    • If you use one of our contact forms, the form will be sent by e-mail to us and will be stored on our E-mail server. A copy of the Email may also be stored in a database as well, to ensure that we have received your message should the Email not arrive.

b) In case of suspected offence

information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request. We may also disclose information in the event of suspicion of fraud, or information necessary to clarify specific disputes.

4. Erasure of personal data

You are entitled to delete all of our information about you upon request if we are not required by law to store it. You can contact us about this to terminate your customer relationship by sending us an email.

5. Securing personal data

We take care of your privacy and have control over this, so that nothing is passed on to other agencies.

6. Especially about marketing in e-mail and SMS

If you have an active customer relationship with us, we may send you marketing by e-mail or with other electronic communication methods in accordance with Section 15 of the Marketing Act. It includes newsletters and other inquiries regarding content, services, offers, promotions and events from us, via email, telephone, SMS and social media.

However, if you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send such marketing if you have given us consent to do so. 

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may periodically update or change the Privacy Statement.

In the event of major changes, we will inform you of this.

8. Right to appeal

You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, which in Norway is the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
